Evidence-based medicineThe Marigold Clinic at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital (RLHH), Great Ormond Street, London WC1N 3HR, where Dr Khan is Hon. Director of Homeopathic Podiatry Services, was the first NHS hospital to provide Marigold Therapy and Homeopathic Podiatry routinely in its range of complementary services. Founded by Dr. Khan in 1992 and operating for its first year under the auspices of the charity, The Marigold Trust, the Marigold Clinic was taken under RLHH management in 1993 when the hospital achieved Third Wave Trust status and became the Department of Homeopathic Podiatry. M Tariq Khan BSc(PodMed), BSc(Hons) Podiatric Studies, LFHom(Pod), MChS, FBAHChP, FLS, is the Deputy Director and Chief Podiatrist. The safety and efficacy of Marigold Therapy have been demonstrated through extensive clinical use in podiatry clinics and numerous studies and in randomised, double blind, placebo controlled trials: (1) at the University of Brighton (Faculty of Health); (2) University of East London (Institute of Health and Rehabilitation, Faculty of Health and Science); (3) University of London (Faculty of Medicine, School of Pharmacy and the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital). |
